About Us...

After over 40 years of preaching and teaching the Word of God, I am more convinced than ever of the importance of knowing how to hear from God. The Bible talks about perilous times coming in the last days. This world is certainly going through challenging times like we haven't seen in this generation. In recent days, we have seen darkness attack the world around us, whether through pandemic, violence in our society, social and political unrest, and the list goes on. But in spite of the darkness, the light of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ is shining brighter and brighter. 

We don't have to live in fear. We don't have to live in defeat! Through Jesus, we have a better covenant, based on better promises! It is only through faith in Jesus, that we have access to the hope that these promises bring. Paul tells us in Romans that "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." With all this in mind, it is my heart's desire to teach God's Word with clarity, accuracy, and authority. 

In 1976, I stepped into the greatest and most important part of my ministry, when I married Rachel Nichols Young. We have been married for over 46 years, and have 2 beautiful grown daughters who are happily married, and we have 6 grandchildren (with a 7th on the way!) My family is my greatest ministry.

My spiritual father, John Osteen, recognized the calling of God on me and I was ordained by John Osteen Ministries in the early 1980's. I served as Minister of Music for Pastor Osteen at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX for 10 years. I was also an instructor in Lakewood Bible Institute. I continue to stay connected with the Osteen family, and have been connected to Joel Osteen's Champions Network for the past several years.  

Over the years since moving from the Houston area, I have served as Pastor of 2 churches in Texas (one in Austin, and one in Canyon Lake), and as an interim Pastor in Bandera, Tx.  This past year (2022) Rachel and I relocated back to the Houston area, where I am serving on Pastoral staff under my dear friend Pastor Clayton Shepherd at Prevailing Faith Church in Pasadena, Tx. I am honored to be ordained by Dr. Michael Chitwood's  organization, the International Congress of Churches and Ministers (ICCM).

Through technology, I am excited about the opportunity to continue to expand teaching God's Word to those who are hungry to learn more about God's will. Tuesdays In The Word is a weekly power packed 30 minute livestream of instructions from the Word of God. We are able to reach people anywhere in the world where the internet is available.
